Silk Bedding, especially fitted sheets, won't last nearly
as long as flat sheets. Flat sheets last up to 30% longer, as they do
not have the stretch and stress put on them.
Most Silk Bedding can be machine washed, at least the sheets and
pillow cases can. Check the washing instructions to make sure, though.
Comforters, bedspreads, and duvets usually have to be dry-cleaned.
Blankets are one of those border-line items. Some can be washed,
some cannot.
Wash your washable sheets and pillow cases in a 'silk wash' or
Woolite, on gentle cycle in the washing machine, or hand wash in a
stationary tub or bath tub. Be extra careful when wringing out the
sheets and pillow cases. Dry on 'NO heat' cycle in dryer. Iron with cool,
or 'silk' setting. A lot of people prefer not to iron sheets, but may iron pillowcases.
