Silk Clothing has been around since the early days of the Chinese Empires, circa 2640 BC, but only the Royal Family was allowed to wear silk.
Most silk clothing needs to be dry-cleaned. There are some exceptions: these
items need gentle hand-washing in a product designed specifically for silk. Be sure you read the label to see how to care for your silk clothing.
Perspiration can stain silk. Use dress shields under your arms to prevent
deodorant from staining your lovely silk blouse or dress.
Heat can also damage silk clothing. Stay away from the dryer. Hang on a plastic hanger. Iron with a very cool iron at 'silk' setting if the garment is wrinkled. Some garments wrinkle excessively.
