Silk Curtains and Draperies put the finishing touches on a room devoted to silk, or just about any room in the house.
How to Care for
Silk Curtains & Drapes:
First of all, do not expect that you can leave your silk curtains and drapes (or any curtains and drapes> on the windows, especially windows that get sunlight, for very long before they become "un-cleanable" at the dry-cleaners.
In other words, curtains and drapes left too long will literally fall apart when
they are dry-cleaned or laundered in any way.
Lined drapes are least likely to "fall apart". The lining is there to protect from
the harmful ultra-violet rays from the sun.
Recommended length of time before dry-cleaning:
If they get exceptionally dusty, take them in every 6 months. Otherwise,
once a year to 18 months.
