Silk Flowers are a boon to the person who can't get to the florist every day to put out new, fresh flowers.
They are especially useful if anyone has allergies to pollen. And as
fresh flowers are very attractive to cats, there is always the danger of a spill.
In winter they are indispensible.
Cleaning
Silk Flowers
Silk Flowers can be cleaned by a special silk flower cleaning
spray, or by these tried and true methods, which most people prefer.
1. Fill your sink half full of water and add 2 - 3 teaspoons of a good
dish washing liquid. Slosh your silk flowers around and lay on a towel
to dry.
2. To clean your silk trees and plants, fill a spray bottle with luke warm
water and 1/2 teaspoon dish washing detergent and spray your plants
in a sink or bathtub. Spray again with clear water to rinse.
3. Take your plants into the shower for a refreshing spray of clean water.
Do this every month or more often if they get really dusty.
4. Dust your silk flowers and plants with a hand-held hair dryer on a
no-heat, gentle setting.
